Laboratory Safety

Your safety within the laboratory setting is of utmost importance. During class, a detailed discussion on safety will ensue, but as a minimum, the following points are strictly enforced. Failure to abide by these expectations will result in dismissal from the lab.

1. Safety eyewear must be used during dissection exercises. Acceptable eyeware must have a rating of “Z87”.
2. Eating. during laboratory time is prohibited.
3. Children. Due to safety concerns, children are never permitted in the lab.
4. Gloves are provided by the school and are to be worn during dissections.
5. Clean up. All surfaces are to be cleaned thoroughly after dissections.
